TD Bank statement to CSV
Drop the TD Bank PDF as you downloaded it. It is converted on your computer, and we compare the totals with the ones TD Bank printed and check that the rows carry the opening balance to the closing one. Then download it for your accounting software or a spreadsheet.

TD Bank’s Small Business Online Banking gives secure online access to statements from as far back as 7 years, and can e-mail you whenever a statement arrives. Paper is turned off by logging in to Online Banking or the mobile app.
The TD Business Convenience Checking Plus account guide charges a monthly fee for paper statements, which signing up for e-statements through TD Bank Online Banking avoids.
To let employees or a bookkeeper in, log in to Online Banking and go to the "Users & Access" section, where you set each user’s role and what they can view and do.

What a TD Bank statement looks like, and what we do with it
Under the STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT heading, page one opens with the ACCOUNT SUMMARY, with Average Collected Balance and the interest figures in a second column beside it, then DAILY ACCOUNT ACTIVITY. Each kind of transaction is its own block with POSTING DATE, DESCRIPTION and AMOUNT, and amounts are printed bare, the block heading alone telling deposits from payments. Within a block the oldest row is first, a DAILY BALANCE SUMMARY follows the final block, and every page repeats the Statement Period with both of its dates in full.
- Rows are dated by POSTING DATE as month and day, 01/03, and a card purchase adds the day it was authorised as six digits after AUT, month, day and year, which can fall in the year before.
- We give each row its year from the Statement Period by its posting date, so a purchase authorised on New Year’s Eve and posted on 01/03 is dated in January of the new year.
- Daily Account Activity lists each kind under its own heading, Deposits, Electronic Deposits and Electronic Payments, each closed by "Subtotal:", and the Account Summary gives the same kinds with no overall total.
- We leave the subtotals out of the rows, and add Deposits to Electronic Deposits to compare with our money in.
- A card or ATM row wraps over three lines: the transaction type, then the merchant or ATM address with its city and state, then the card number.
- We join all three into one description.
- On a longer statement the How to Balance your Account worksheet is printed between two pages of activity.
- We read nothing from the worksheet and take the activity up again on the page after it.
What this page is based on
Three TD Business Convenience Plus statements of one community group’s account, for August 2022, January 2023 and January 2026, are under test. All three agreed with the Account Summary’s deposit and payment figures and arrived at the Ending Balance from the Beginning one. The January 2023 one is the statement with the worksheet in the middle, and the 2026 one came bound into a treasurer’s report and is the only one with paid checks. A scanned statement of another organisation’s is not counted.
TD Business Simple Checking, TD Business Premier Checking and TD Business Interest Checking Plus are other TD accounts with no statement in our samples, as are the personal TD Complete Checking and the TD Business Solutions Credit Card. Statements exported from TD Business Central, the commercial platform, are a separate matter again.
Once it is converted, the import steps for each accounting package are the same for every bank.
Questions
Our TD statement is bound into a treasurer’s report. Can I drop the whole file?
Yes. In the one treasurer’s report we tried, the report comes first, with a date range and opening and closing balances of its own at its head. We read the statement from the page TD numbers as its first, so the period, the balances and the totals all came from TD’s pages: the right month, totals that matched and the Ending Balance reached.
Will the checks we wrote come through from a TD statement?
They did on the one month we have that holds any: the 2026 statement bound into the treasurer’s report. Its two paid checks came out as rows of money out, each described by its check number, an asterisk kept where TD marks one, and with them the money out matched the Account Summary. Neither of the other two had a check, so that rests on one month so far.
Our account has Account Analysis billing. Which statement do I convert?
The ordinary periodic statement, the one with DAILY ACCOUNT ACTIVITY. TD’s Business Deposit Account Agreement says accounts with Account Analysis billing also receive an Account Analysis statement. We have never seen one, so this page says nothing about converting it.
Privacy, scans and price work the same for every bank, and the home page answers them.
