Bendigo Bank statement to CSV
Drop the Bendigo Bank PDF as you downloaded it. It is converted on your computer, and we check every row against the running balance, compare the totals with the ones Bendigo Bank printed and check that the rows carry the opening balance to the closing one. Then download it for your accounting software or a spreadsheet.
Getting the PDF out of Bendigo Bank
- In e-banking or the Bendigo Bank app, select the account on the Accounts screen.
- Select the Statements tab.
- Select the statement you want, and a PDF copy downloads.
e-banking keeps statements for open accounts for up to seven years. A closed account’s statement means a visit to your local branch.
An interim statement can be requested on 1300 236 344 or at a branch. It is generated overnight and is in e-banking the next day.
Paper statements are switched off under Settings, then Statement preferences, where up to three email addresses can be told when a new statement is ready.

What a Bendigo Bank statement looks like, and what we do with it
Page one pairs Your details at a glance with an Account summary, and the table starts below them under Date, Transaction, Withdrawals, Deposits and Balance, opening with an Opening balance row. Dates give the day, a short month and a two-digit year, rows run oldest first, and balances are plain figures; many rows add the payer or a reference on a second line. Later pages repeat the account number, the period in figures and the page count above the table. The Business Credit Card statement shares this frame, and adds the credit limit, rates and minimum payment beside its summary.
- A Monthly Transaction Summary sits inside the table: COLLECTION ITEMS with a count and a unit price in brackets, Total Transaction Fees, an ACCOUNT REBATE and Total Rebates, above the one line that moves the balance, "Net Transaction Fees for" and the month before.
- We keep the net line, which the balance moves by, and drop the breakdown once its figures add up to their own totals.
- Interest and fee transfer lines can print 0.00, moving nothing.
- We keep them as rows of nothing, so the export lists every line the statement does and the balance beside each is still checked.
- A cash deposit taken back is printed in the Deposits column with a minus in front of it.
- It goes out as money out, and counts against money in, since the statement’s Deposits & credits total nets it there.
- The account summary prints the opening balance with its date, Deposits & credits, Withdrawals & debits and the closing balance with its date.
- We check our money in and money out against it, to the cent.
- The Business Credit Card statement puts Payments & credits beside Withdrawals & debits, and its balance is what is owed, rising with each purchase.
- We read it as a card: purchases are money out, payments are money in, and the rows carry the previous balance to the closing one.
What this page is based on
Three statements from two local councils’ accounts, all from 2025. Two are consecutive months of one council’s Business Solutions Account, six and seven pages long with 80 to 110 transactions each: every row matched the running balance, money in and out matched the account summary to the cent, and opened together the two ran on as one account, the second month picking up where the first ended. The third is the other council’s Business Credit Card statement, about 30 purchases and payments across several cards. Every row matched the balance owed, and the rows ran from the opening amount owed to the closing one without a cent astray; its summary sets Interest charges & fees apart from Withdrawals & debits, and we did not compare totals on it.
A Proof of Account, the e-banking PDF of up to three months of transactions, is a listing rather than a statement, and we haven’t tried one. No statement of a Bendigo personal account has come our way either.
Once it is converted, the import steps for each accounting package are the same for every bank.
Questions
Can I tell which card made each purchase on a Bendigo Business Credit Card statement?
Yes. Each purchase on the card statement we ran took three lines: the merchant with its town and country, RETAIL PURCHASE and the purchase date, and CARD NUMBER with that card’s masked number. We keep all three in the description, so filtering on the card’s last digits sorts purchases by cardholder. The row’s own date is the one in the Date column, often a day or two after the purchase, and the day it was made stays in the text.
e-banking already downloads CSV. Why convert the PDF?
The e-banking transaction download reaches back 18 months, and Bendigo’s own help sends you to the statements for transactions that are not available for download. Statements go back up to seven years. For an older period, or one you want checked against the balances Bendigo printed, the PDF is the record to convert.
How do I get a statement for a Bendigo account that has been closed?
Not from e-banking, which holds statements for open accounts. Bendigo’s e-statements help says a closed account’s statement comes from your local branch. Save the last ones from e-banking before you close an account, while they are still there as PDFs.
Privacy, scans and price work the same for every bank, and the home page answers them.
